Changing Too Quickly
Hydra, GR
Sophomore Album
[w/ N. Vitoraki]
Changing Too Quickly is my second album, conceived during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when my final year of highschool was cut short and I suddenly had time to write. I wrote and recorded the music for the album independently, and my girlfriend-turned-writing-partner Nefeli Vitoraki helped me write the lyrics. We primarily worked on the album on the island of Hydra, where we set up a primitive studio to record vocals and guitars.

The songs on the album showcase our journey of navigating through our relationship while being forced to stay apart. The songs touch on the anxiety caused by the pandemic, and the ways in which the pandemic exacerbated our existing concerns. Nefeli used the album as a device to cope with her parents’ recent divorce, while I reckoned with the loss of both my grandfathers, who passed just before we started to work on the album.
